Our client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of construction projects set to commence in the coming year. These projects are primarily in the early inception stages (pre-planning), with a few already underway on-site. Projects are all in the Cork region of Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with and balance the interests of various stakeholders.
- Design Team Oversight: Lead and coordinate the design team to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Contractor Management: Oversee the appointment and supervision of main contractors.
- Change Management: Handle and document changes or variations in the project scope.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress and budgets to head office and stakeholders.
- Financial Reporting: Manage and report on project finances and budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 4 years in a project management role within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of Public Works Contracts desired.
- Licensing: A full, clean driving license and access to a personal vehicle are required, as the role involves managing projects across multiple sites. (Work travel expenses will be covered.)
