Technical Sales / Account Manager – Civil Engineering & Construction

Location: Midlands (near Athlone)
Industry: Civil Engineering / Construction Products

Salary: €43,000 to €48,000 plus benefits

An established and growing company with over 50 years of success in the construction sector is seeking a Technical Sales / Account Manager to join its expanding team in the Midlands region, close to Athlone. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a well-respected business with ambitious growth plans.

The Role

You will act as a key point of contact for customers and contractors, providing technical advice and account support while developing strong client relationships. With full support provided on the company’s product portfolio, this role suits someone technically minded who enjoys problem-solving and working in a customer-focused environment. This is not a cold calling role and will involve a mixture of account management and dealing with inbound enquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing customer accounts

  • Handling technical queries from contractors via phone and email

  • Providing product guidance and solutions

  • Supporting sales activity and building long-term relationships

  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge or experience within the civil engineering or construction products sector

  • Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Willingness to learn and grow, with ambition to develop a long-term career

  • Comfortable discussing technical details with customers

  • Full driving licence preferred
