We are working with a project management consultancy operating across the construction and property sector. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional value to their clients by ensuring efficient project execution from concept through to completion. They are currently looking for a Document Controller to join their team and play a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, well-coordinated projects.
Role Overview:
As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the document control system across various projects, ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible. You will work closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients, with a particular focus on utilising Autodesk BIM 360 for document management and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage project documentation workflows in BIM 360
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of documents and drawings to relevant stakeholders
- Maintain document control logs and ensure document version control and naming conventions are adhered to
- Support the project team in the submission and approval process of key project documents
- Liaise with internal and external teams to coordinate document reviews and approvals
- Perform routine audits to ensure compliance with document control procedures and project requirements
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on BIM 360 document control functions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Document Controller in the construction or property sector
- Strong working knowledge of Autodesk BIM 360 (Docs, Design, Coordinate)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other relevant document management standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in a consultancy environment
- Understanding of common data environments (CDEs) and digital collaboration workflows
